BESG has been participating in the “I and the Bird” carnival on and off for the last few years. In case you are not familiar with blog carnivals, they are collections of various themed blog posts from around the world, with different blogs taking turns to host them. The IATB carnival is confined only to bird blogs.

Carnivals were started with the intention of getting other bloggers together as a web community. Getting to know you, if you may. In this way we fraternise on the web - exchange ideas, swap birds (virtual rather than real feathered), etc. Carnivals also expose participants’ sites to others via their blogs’ readers. This of course help readership, for after all, what is the use of having a blog if very few people visit your site.

For the next carnival, IATB #85 that will be launched on 2nd October 2008, we are proud to announce that BESG will be the host. We will then see participating blogs from around the world highlighted here…
