Munia eating grass seeds II

Wilson Chong a.k.a. starrynight was in Brunei recently and photographed the very common Chestnut Munia (Lonchura atricapilla) feeding. One image shows the munias eating the seeds of the grass, Ischaemum sp., possibly I. muticum (seashore centipede grass) or I. rugosum (wrinkled centipede grass) (above left).

The other image shows the birds eating another grass, possibly Brachiaria distachya (lesser brachiaria), now known as Urochloa subquadripara (above right).
